January vacation break

This morning I’m packing for Saint Lucia.

Of course, I’d like to take you with me, and, honestly, I’ve been thinking about keeping up my daily blog. In fact, I’m a little nervous about stopping after posting some 364 comments over the last year. However, I’m not sure our politics will feel very urgent on the beach—and, anyway, this is no time to make grudging promises.

Let’s get started again next month.
